2009 Mentor Rugby

The Mentor Area Rugby Football Club (MARC) was established in Lake County, Ohio during the spring of 1999 as a member of the Greater Cleveland Area High School Rugby League, Ohio Rugby Union, Midwest Rugby Football Union and USA Rugby. 2000-2003 MARC competed in the North East Ohio Rugby Football league Division 2. In 2004 MARC move up a division and presently competes in the North East Ohio High school rugby league Division 1. MARC fields one under nineteen years of age (U19) boys sides.

The MARC is presently supported and coached by old boy members from the Cleveland Eastern Suburbs RFC. The MARC presently draws players from Lake Catholic, Willoughby South and Mentor high school districts. In years past the MARC has drawn players from other high schools such as Kirtland, Eastlake North and Painesville Riverside.
